PADDLE FIT is an amazing experience in the Wetlands of our S. Jersey shore! Our group will meet at 57th Street Public Access Bay with a lesson on how to use most effectively the paddle and board. After some sunscreen we are off into the calm waters of the Avalon Bay. First we get used to the water temperature and understand that the boards stability - it doesn't want you to fall off! We move into the wind with simple paddling technique while kneeling or standing, and test some positions of stren
gth, balance and flexibility with you body weight close to the board. I progressively get each person onto their feet. Depending on the groups intended experience, we can workout to burn calories, tone and find out some fun ways to get that cardio workout in that can only be done on SUP! OR we can tour the bay at our leisure and learn the natural habitat of the Flora and Fauna of the NJ BAY area. Finally we finish with stretching on the board and some very friendly and fun yoga postures that feel amazing on the SUP while back near the dock. Unaccompanied guests end up making friends and forming bonds and with other participants! And if all are agreeable, I can introduce a bit of light competition between guests with unique fitness moves that can only be performed on the SUP!
