The Art of Tying a Tenkara Fly

Fathers Day is coming up! This is a Family friendly experience! If you don't see a date/time that suits you, contact me! Have a group? Reach out and let’s see how we can support you! This can be your first time ever fly fish tying or you might be a seasoned person on the river. This experience is for all folk! I've worked with folk from age 6-90! Tenkara Fly fish tying...Simplicity in nature. Spend two hours in my home, in the mountains practicing the art of Tenkara fly fish tying. With Tenkara, we use only the essentials making your Experience about the joy of being out there, preparing to fish for trout! Tenkara fly fishing strips away all the extras of spending time on the river and leaves one with a Beautiful Adventure. Tenkara is simply a rod, a line and a hook. The cork-handled rod telescopes down to the size of a lightweight baton for easy transport. Uncapped, it extends to 11 to 13 feet. On the delicate rod tip is a braided nub onto which the leader is tied, usually a rod’s length of furled monofilament and tippet. The fly can be anything the angler wants to use. If you are ready for an adventure, come spend time in my home or on my porch in the Mountains, learning the art of Tenkara fly fish tying! Other things to note: This is a beginner to intermediate fly tying workshop. All are welcome!

Snow Shoe Under The Stars

Come spend some time with me, on the trails! Some notes of importance. Covid Protocol: All Guests re required to have masks in their possession. Please use the bathroom prior to coming to our experience, we no longer can offer you the use of our home bathroom. You must either have an all wheel drive vehicle with Winter tires or chains to enter our neighborhood, including your Uber or Lyft driver. Snow Shoeing the Wasatch Mountains Under the Stars. Come experience the the beautiful night skies in the mountains. You will hike through the backcountry of the Wasatch Mountain Range, through Aspen glades and gently rolling meadows. Generally the tours are one to two hours long. We can customize any length tour for you and your group. Trips depart daily. Other things to note Remember, it's Winter in Park City. Hobble Creek Canyon Horseback Ride

You'll come to my ranch in Hobble Creek Canyon where I will introduce you to the horse you'll be riding. I will explain the equipment we use, help you get the saddle fitted to your needs, and demonstrate how to ride the horse and use the equipment. After a short lesson in a confined area, we will venture out onto the trails on the ranch. I will tailor the ride to your experience and comfort level; from a calm ride with me leading your horse through the meadow, to an adventurous mountain trail ride. The ride will take place entirely on private property in an area of exclusive and beautiful estate ranches. The experience, including orientation, lesson, and ride, will last approximately 2 hours. Additional ride time is available for an additional fee. Participants will be required to sign a release acknowledging the inherent risks of equine activities consistent with Utah Code Annotated Section 78B-4-201 et seq. Other things to note: Dress for the weather. We reserve the right to cancel if the weather presents a danger. Otherwise, we ride! No cell reception in the canyon. Weight limits may apply.

Intro to hand stone carving keepsakes

First we decide on what you want to carve. For beginners simple shapes such as hearts, arrowheads , dinosaur teeth , shark teeth elephants dogs cats simple shapes with initials are great for first time carvers. Once we know what we’re carving we pick out a stone that best fits the shape the participant is after creating. Then either I or the participant will draw on the Stone outlining the design. We then clamp the stone securely in my custom made carving station. I then give a few beginning instructions and let the participant loose on the stone with my steel stone files. Instructions are given until we achieve the discussed Idea. After we have achieved the rought out shape we dive into polishing. Starting at a rough 120-180 grit wet sand paper we make the last finishing touches on your creation. Then we use 400 grit and your stone suddenly turns into a smooth glass like surface. At this point you can continue on polishing once you know what you have to do or if time is still available in the lesson. You may creat another stone creation. You can continue the polishing at home as I give small squares of 600-1000 grit sandpaper. Last option available is wire wrapping your creation to make a wearable necklace. This description is based on a one on one or small group carving session. In large groups 10-30 stone designs are determined on group prices. Other things to note Even if you think you do not have an artistic bone in your body you CAN carve stone. A sawing like back-and-forth motion is all you need to be able to carve stone. I have the expertise and knowledge to guide you step-by-step in creating what your keepsake.

Intro Kreative Pottery Experience

This is a unique pottery wheel throwing experience! No experience required! We can do up to 20 people per session! The intro experience is a 90-120 minute session where you and your group each throw 1 lb. of clay. Once you've created a bowl, mug, or succulent pot, you pick a color, we glaze it, and you pick it up or have it shipped to you.
