Explore Bisbee's haunted past on a guided walking tour
Let us guide you into Haunted Bisbee!
We invite you to join us on a journey of stories. We will tell you the scandals and secrets that built our living ghost town, and step into the past as we introduce you to phantoms and spirits that make Bisbee their everlasting home! But fear not, our tales are true! Founded by award-winning journalist and historian Francine Powers (Haunted Bisbee), authenticity is our secret ingredient. If we can’t cite it, we don’t share it!
For one hour, we will transport you to a different era, starting at the Restoration Museum, once The Fair where Bisbee’s best got stunningly dressed! We continue along Main Street, taking you inside buildings with historical and spiritual significance. We make a left at the old jail, once owned by John Wayne, and traipse through the original heart of town. We finish at the regal Copper Queen Hotel, where the town’s most beloved spirit still plays!
Get swept into the past with every story, every building, every street that we bring you to. Saunter through the same street as infamous cowboy figures, Victorian ladies, gunslingers, celebrities, and prostitutes! Meet local characters still here from the prosperous mining days of the 1960’s and just maybe we’ll coax them into telling you local legends from their perspective.
Tour a Backyard Alpaca Ranch
First you will get an introduction to Thunder Mountain Ranch and any "staff" on site for the day. Next I will give you some "Fun Alpaca Facts", a quick orientation about safety and ranch rules. I will explain lots of things about alpacas before we go into the pens because once we enter you will be so excited and delighted that you will forget to ask me questions! When everyone has secured their cameras and selfie sticks, we will commence with our tour all of the animal pens, starting with the Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian dogs "Daisy" and "Delilah". Next you'll meet my daughter's collection of chickens (and help collect our beautiful farm-fresh eggs if you want to) and our family of peafowl. Finally, we will visit with ALL of the Alpacas, "Big Hunk" the Llama, "Baaarney" the Navajo Churro Sheep. You will be able to hand feed the animals, take unlimited pictures, and ask me anything. Just like Disneyland, after the "ride" we will force you to exit through the gift shop (LOL). If you care to 'paca picnic lunch" (get it?), you are welcome to use my patio or deck and enjoy the scenery while you snack.
Other things to note
Please be warned that this is a rural area in the desert. In addition to my ranch animals, there are wildlife, snakes, bugs and other things that lived here first - we co-exist when we can. Eyes Open!
Tucson- Behind the scenes tour
"I experienced the tour with my three lifelong friends. We have all traveled the world extensively and taken many tours in many countries. We all enjoyed Priscilla’s tour so much, and agreed that it was one of the best tours we have been on! Priscilla is delightful, funny, kind and so knowledgeable about her beloved Tucson. She made the tour really entertaining, while still imparting the high points of Tucson and its history, present day information and the quirky things that make it special. Priscilla deserves at LEAST five stars for her great tour!"
-Christine, April 2022

Three Hour Equine Experience at Tucson's China Cabinet Ranch
This experience is on hold through the summer in Tucson. More dates will be added at the end of September. If you are interested in booking one on a particular date after October 5th, 2022, message me and we can set it up.
This is a PRIVATE experience designed for one person at a time. I cannot do 2 people at the same time for the time being. Message me for another option.
Your “Three Hour Equine Experience at Tucson's China Cabinet Ranch” starts right after introductions and a brief talk about your experience and goals with horses and questions or concerns you may have. Half of the experience is instructional: learning how to catch, halter, lead and tie up a horse. Next we will groom (including cleaning the feet) and saddle, even bridling if you feel up to it. Then, you will mount up (from ground or mounting block) and get comfortable at the walk, learning how to stop, turn, back, and possibly trot a horse in my 60’ round pen.
The amount of lesson time depends on the rider. Once you are comfortable, we will finish your experience with a guided trail ride in Saguaro National Park during which time you can ask anything you want about horses; I have 35+ years of experience. I will take several pictures of you among the saguaros along the mountains. I'm a CHA Level 2 Western Instructor and EAGALA trained facilitator for equine therapy. My main job is a professional wrangler.
